Better Tech
Most organisations have more technology than they are using well.
The tools accumulate: subscriptions, platforms, workflows, integrations that made sense at the time. Some of them are valuable. Some of them are adding cost and complexity without adding much else. The problem is usually not the technology, but the mismatch between the theory and the practice.
Better Tech is for organisations and individuals who want to make more deliberate choices about the tools they use, and get more from the ones they keep.
This might mean reviewing what you are currently using and whether it is earning its place. Or thinking through what AI tools your team is adopting, on what terms, and what the obligations are (the legal layer is included here).
It might mean helping a founder or small team build a set of tools that actually supports the way they work, rather than adding another layer of overhead to manage.
Or taking a step back, and realising that the biggest bang for your buck might be in using our 2 minute tips to teach basic IT skills that seem to be the baseline despite never being taught – like the benefits of learning to touch type, or using keyboard shortcuts, or how best to set up your email client and tasks lists.
“IT Skills Training” might not seem sexy, and might even feel like going too far back to basics, but it’s time to stop strategising for the incremental advantage or the 1% rule, when your key team members are still spending hours each day battling with Word or Excel.
We are a tech first business, with a risk averse approach, working with the tools we can access on the commercial market; but we’ve worked with clients with a lot more clout than us, and we know what supplier “redlines” are solid and which can be pushed. We’ll work within your risk appetite, making sure you understand the full picture.
